HEATH LEDGER DEAD AT AGE 28

"Brokeback Mountain" star and Oscar nominee Heath Ledger was found deceased by his housekeeper Tuesday at 3:35pm in his Manhattan apartment. The reported cause of death was Cardiac Arrest, although sleep pills were found on his bed stand, and an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

Ledger 28, was born in Australia's City of Perth in 1979 and got his first acting role playing Peter Pan at age 10 in a local theater company. He began acting in independent films as a 16-year-old in Sydney and played a cyclist hoping to land a spot on an Olympic team in a 1996 television show, "Seat". He went on to have a lucrative acting career staring in other films like "Lords of Dogtown", "10 Things I Hate About You" and "The Patriot."

Heath will be missed dearly by his family including: Father, Kim Ledger; Mother, Sally Bell; two half-sisters; one sister; stepfather and most of all by his beautiful Daughter, Matilda Ledger, born in October of 2005.
