After an emotional, celebrity filled, "Idol Gives Back" last night, which has raised over 60 Million dollars so far, our final eight contestants faced elimination on tonight's show. Syesha Mercado, Michael Johns and Carly Smithson landed in the bottom three. Michael Johns (left photo) was officially eliminated by viewer votes based on his performance Tuesday night. y Aerosmith and none of the judges were impressed. Michael has a great voice, but I must agree, that regardless of the sentimental value the song might have, his voice did not do the song justice. He even messed up one word and missed the defining high notes. He made the same mistakes when he sang the song again for his final performance.

I hope Mr. Johns has a fruitful career in the music industry. Be careful....it's a jungle out there.
